Triple E Department Wins Stamford University Inter-University Cricket Tournament
The Electrical Engineering (Triple E) department has emerged as the champion in the Inter-University Cricket Tournament organized by the Stamford University Sports Club. In the final, held on December 3, Triple E defeated the Microbiology department to claim the title.
This year's tournament saw participation from 16 teams across 12 departments. The Best Batter award was given to Shah Poran from the Pharmacy department, the Best Bowler award went to Yakub Ali from the Film & Media department, and the Best Player award was earned by Faisal from the English department.
The tournament was organized by the Coordinator of Stamford University Sports Club, Touhidul Islam Limon, along with the Club's Co-Coordinator Sajib, General Secretary Fahim, and other members of the club.
The final was attended by the University Treasurer Ziaul Hasan, Proctor Mrittunjoy Acharya, Sports Club Convenor Mohammad Golam Rabbani, and Registrar Abdul Matin Mia. Also present were the Chairpersons of various departments, including Afatab Uddin from the Microbiology department, Farhana Chowdhury from the Civil department, Dr. Mahbuda Parveen from Environmental Science, and Professor Dr. Dilshad Mehjabeen from the Triple E department. Teachers from different departments and general students also enjoyed the match.
