Bangladesh Under-19 team continues its dominant run in the tri-nation youth ODI series in Zimbabwe, securing a massive 160-run victory over hosts Zimbabwe in their final group stage match. With this emphatic win, Bangladesh top the points table and are set to face South Africa Under-19 in the tournament final.
In the last match of the group stage, Bangladesh outplayed Zimbabwe by a huge margin of 160 runs, securing their fifth win in six matches. Finishing with 10 points, they comfortably lead the standings. South Africa, with four wins from six matches, stand second with 8 points. Hosts Zimbabwe lost all their matches and finished the group stage without a single point.
The final will be held on Sunday, August 10, at Harare Sports Club, where Bangladesh U-19 will take on South Africa U-19 in a bid to clinch the championship. Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh had already defeated South Africa once, although the Proteas managed to hand them their only loss in the series so far.
Bangladesh's U-19 squad has remained unbeaten against Zimbabwe throughout the competition, showcasing their form and consistency. However, the final against a strong South African side promises to be a competitive contest as Azizul Hakim Tamim and his team aim for the title.
