Australia Women secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh Women, thanks to an impressive bowling performance from Annabel Sutherland and a blistering 77-run knock from Phoebe Litchfield. In the opening match of the series, Bangladesh were bowled out for 166 in 49.4 overs. In reply, Australia reached 168 for 3 in just 25.4 overs to seal the win.
After being put in to bat, Bangladesh found themselves on the back foot early, losing three wickets for just 34 runs in the first powerplay. The Australian bowlers maintained tight control, making it difficult for the Bangladeshi batters to keep the scoreboard moving.
Australia continued to apply pressure through the middle overs. Between overs 10.1 and 40, Bangladesh lost four more wickets while managing to add only 96 runs. Despite a late attempt to fight back, the visitors were eventually bowled out for 166 in 49.4 overs.
For Australia, Annabel Sutherland was the standout bowler, claiming four crucial wickets for just 30 runs in 9.4 overs, including two maiden overs.

Litchfield reached her half-century off just 35 balls and combined with Perry to put on a 50-run partnership in only 34 balls. She eventually departed after smashing 77 off 57 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and a six in a destructive innings.
The remaining Australian batters comfortably completed the task, guiding their side to a convincing seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh Women.
