Bangladesh to Play Full Bilateral Series in Zimbabwe
Bangladesh will tour Zimbabwe in June and July for a full bilateral series, with Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) already announcing the schedule featuring one Test, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
The only Test of the tour will be played at Harare Sports Club from June 28 to July 2. The teams will then remain at the same venue for the three-match ODI series, scheduled for July 6, 9 and 11.
After the ODI series, both teams will travel to Bulawayo for the T20I series. Queens Sports Club will host the three matches on July 15, 17 and 19.
The two sides last faced each other in a two-match Test series in Bangladesh in 2025, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Zimbabwe secured a memorable three-wicket victory in the opening Test, marking their first win in the format in four years.
During Bangladesh’s previous tour of Zimbabwe in 2022, the hosts also dominated proceedings, winning both the ODI and T20I series 2-1 at Harare Sports Club.
The upcoming series will be Zimbabwe’s first home assignment of the year and also their first international series since the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, held in India and Sri Lanka in February and March.
Zimbabwe grabbed global attention during the World Cup with an impressive campaign, reaching the Super Eight stage for the first time in their history. They progressed through the group stage unbeaten and recorded memorable victories over Australia and Sri Lanka.
Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni said the Bangladesh tour comes at a crucial time for Zimbabwe cricket following the national team’s recent rise on the international stage.
