Karachi Kings secured a thrilling 4-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars, featuring Mustafizur Rahman and Parvez Hossain Emon, in an exciting Pakistan Super League clash in Lahore. The match went down to the final stages of the 20th over, where Abbas Afridi held his nerve to guide his team home with a composed finish.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars suffered an early blow as Fakhar Zaman was dismissed at the start. Abdullah Shafique scored 33 off 24 balls, while Bangladesh’s Parvez Hossain Emon also failed to make an impact, scoring 12 off 12 balls with a six.

Regular wickets prevented Lahore from building a big total. With no significant contributions from the middle order, they were restricted to 128/9 in their 20 overs.

Adam Zampa was the standout performer with the ball for Karachi. His controlled bowling in the middle overs put Lahore under pressure, as he picked up 2 wickets for just 11 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing 129, Karachi Kings came under early pressure, losing 3 wickets for 39 runs. Mohammad Wasim then steadied the innings.

However, the real drama unfolded towards the end. With quick runs needed, Abbas Afridi turned the game around with a blistering cameo of 10 runs off just 2 balls.

Eventually, Karachi Kings reached the target at 131/6 in 19.3 overs. The victory earned them two crucial points in the tournament, while Lahore were left disappointed.

For Lahore, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman bowled impressively, taking 1 wicket for 20 runs in his 4 overs.

Adam Zampa was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance.
