Postponed BPL matches to be held in Sylhet on January 4
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2026 matches that were postponed yesterday (December 30) will be played in Sylhet on January 4 under a revised schedule, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed.
The matches scheduled for December 30 were cancelled as part of the first day of the three-day national mourning declared by the government following the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. For the same reason, no BPL matches are being held today, Wednesday (December 31).
According to the BCB, the matches scheduled for January 1 and 2 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will proceed as per the original fixture. However, the matches cancelled on December 30 will now be staged on January 4.
Meanwhile, the BPL Governing Council has stated that a revised schedule for matches from January 5 onwards will be announced in due course.
In addition, the memo dated December 30 regarding match timings and the rescheduling of the cancelled fixtures, which had been circulated among the teams, has been withdrawn.
