Rajshahi Warriors have emerged as champions of the 2026 BCSA Cricket Blast, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Association (BCSA). Led by Arifur Rahman, the team clinched the title by defeating United Kings Dhaka by 8 wickets in the final.
The one-day, four-team tournament was held on Friday at the Diyabari Football Club ground in Dhaka. After the conclusion of the tournament, BCSA’s founding president Junayed Paikar, current president Sarfuddin Ahmed Saju, vice president Altamish Nabil, general secretary S.M. Kamrul Alam Ripon, former treasurer Abeda Ashraf, and Chief Operating Officer of BD Cricket Time Imran Hasan attended as guests to present the awards to the winners.
In the first match of the day, Rajshahi Warriors secured their spot in the final by defeating Pirates of Chattogram by 4 wickets. In the second match, United Kings Dhaka reached the final by beating Khulna Braves by 33 runs.
In the final, United Kings Dhaka, after winning the toss, batted first and scored 197 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in the allotted 15 overs. Nabil Chowdhury top-scored for the team with 50 runs.
Chasing the target, Rajshahi Warriors got off to a brilliant start. Captain Arifur Rahman’s unbeaten 130 and Zahid Hossain’s explosive 50 helped Rajshahi reach 201 for 2 in just 10.5 overs, securing a convincing victory.
Arifur Rahman was named both the Man of the Final and the Best Player of the Tournament. Zahid Hossain won the Player of the Match award in the first match of the day, while Nabil Chowdhury took the same honor in the second match.
Earlier, on 31 December, the franchise-based tournament auction was held at a Chinese restaurant in Panthapath. Taskin Tushar secured the highest bid of 15,000 virtual coins to play for Rajshahi Warriors. This year’s BCSA Blast tournament was broadcast live on BCSA’s official Facebook page.
