Former Stars Take the Field in BCBs Special Exhibition Match

The joy of Independence Day will be further highlighted by a special cricket match today.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has organized the ‘Independence Day Exhibition Cricket Match 2026’, where the Red Team will face off against the Green Team.

The exhibition match will take place tomorrow, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

BCB has already announced the squads for both teams.

Former cricketers will return to the field, making it an exciting event for the spectators.

Several former stars will not be participating in this match.

Among them, Habibul Bashar Sumon, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, and Akram Khan are notable.

The Green Team will feature Shahriar Nafis, Javed Omar Belim, Hannan Sarker, Nadif Chowdhury, Faisal Hossain Dickens, Tushar Imran, Shahriar Hossain Bidyut, Mohammad Selim, Talha Zubair, Anwar Hossain Monir, Abdur Razzak, Hasibul Hossain Shanto, Jamal Uddin Babu, and Hasanuzzaman Jharu.

The Red Team will include Jahangir Alam, Mehrab Hossain Opi, Mohammad Ashraful, Nasir Uddin Faruk, Mohammad Rafique, Mohammad Ehsanul Haque, Khaled Mahmud Pilot, Anwar Hossain (wicketkeeper), Tarek Aziz Khan, Mahbubul Alam Robin, Dollar Mahmud, Ilias Sani, Mushfiqur Rahman Babu, and Sajjad Ahmed Shipon.
