Abahani and Mohammedan secured comprehensive victories today in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Abahani defeated Partex Sporting Club by 8 wickets, while Mohammedan cruised to a 9-wicket win against Brothers Union.

At the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Partex Sporting Club chose to bat first after losing the toss. They were immediately put under pressure by Mahfuzur Rabb's bowling attack. Rabuil Islam Rabbie was dismissed for just 10 runs, and soon after, Sabbir Rahman Roman was dismissed for 23 runs by Rakibul Hasan at 65 runs.

The Partex batting line-up collapsed like a house of cards after that. The highest run-scorer for Partex was Joyraj Sheikh with 36 runs. Mahfuzur Rabbie claimed a five-wicket haul, dismissing Rubel Mia, Alauddin Babu, Joyraj Sheikh, Tanvir Hossain, and Mohor Sheikh. Partex Sporting Club was bowled out for a mere 100 runs in just 33.1 overs.

Chasing the modest target, Abahani needed just 14.3 overs to seal the victory with only 2 wickets lost. Zisan Alam (6) and Muminul Haque (2) were dismissed early, but Parvez Hossain Imon and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat guided their team to victory. Imon remained unbeaten on 55, while Saikat scored 37. Tanvir Hossain took both wickets for Partex.

In the other match at BKSP, Brothers Union was bowled out for 187 runs after choosing to bat first against Mohammedan Sporting Club. Imtiaz Hossain was the top scorer for Brothers Union with 43 runs, while Aich Molla scored 32. For Mohammedan, Taijul Islam claimed 4 wickets, and Abu Haider Roni took 3.

Chasing down the target, Mohammedan lost Mehedi Hasan Miraz early for 2 runs, but Tamim Iqbal and Mahidul Islam Ankon formed an unbroken partnership to lead their team to victory. Tamim Iqbal scored a brilliant back-to-back century, making 105 runs off 96 balls, including 9 fours and 4 sixes. Ankon contributed with 75 runs. Mohammedan completed the chase in just 32.5 overs.
