Two Bangladeshi cricketers have made it to the shortlist for the players' draft of South Africa's SA20 league. All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin and pacer Hasan Mahmud are set to participate in the upcoming auction. The auction will take place on October 1, with the tournament scheduled to start on January 9, 2025.
Cricket South Africa has released the complete list of players ahead of the player auction. Hasan Mahmud has a base price of 425,000 South African Rand, while Saifuddin's reserve price is set at 175,000 Rand.
The list includes approximately 200 players, including 115 South Africans, but only 13 players can be signed by the six franchises from the auction. Each team is allowed to pick a total of 10 international players under the foreign quota.
Notable international players in the auction include South African batsman Reeza Hendricks, Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah, West Indies fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, New Zealand star batter Martin Guptill, and young English pacer Josh Tongue.
