Representing the Country with Pride, Shakib has No Personal Goals
Shakib Al Hasan has no personal goals. However, he always seeks the opportunity to represent the country with pride and feels delighted in contributing to team victories. Today (Thursday), in an agreement ceremony with Rupayan City in Uttara, the world's finest all-rounder expressed these sentiments.
Shakib is excited to return to Test cricket. Despite the injury and rest, this all-rounder didn't get a chance to play in the recent Test series against Sri Lanka. Nevertheless, returning to play for the country fills him with pride and joy.
Speaking about his objectives, Shakib stated,
"I have never had any personal goals or ambitions regarding cricket throughout my career. My focus has always been on how I can assist the team and contribute to its success. It's natural to feel proud when representing the country and performing well. Returning to Test cricket is a delightful prospect for me."
Bangladesh lost the first Test of the series against Sri Lanka. The team struggled with the bat in hand, especially in the first innings. After the defeat in Sylhet, now it's time for the second and final match. Although Shakib's return will strengthen the team to some extent, Bangladesh's all-rounder believes they should aim to win both remaining matches against the Sri Lankans.
"I always hope for victory. We have always found Test cricket challenging for us. I believe we should perform well against Sri Lanka and aim to win the Test matches."
