The highly anticipated T20I series between Bangladesh and Pakistan begins tonight at 9 PM (Bangladesh time) at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. However, the toss woes continue for Bangladesh’s new captain Litton Das, who has once again found himself on the losing side of the coin.
In the previous series against the UAE, Litton lost all three tosses, and the trend has followed him into Pakistan. Pakistan captain Agha Salman won the toss and opted to bat first in the opening match of the three-game series.
Litton, who endured a tough start as captain in his first assignment, is eager to make a fresh start in Pakistan. But history is not on Bangladesh's side — Pakistan has won 4 of the last 5 encounters, and 16 out of the 19 total T20I matches played between the two sides.
Despite the odds, Bangladesh has kept their playing XI unchanged from the previous T20I match, showing faith in the same combination.
Bangladesh XI: 1 Tanzid Hasan, 2 Parvez Hossain Emon, 3 Litton Das (capt), 4 Towhid Hridoy, 5 Mahedi Hasan, 6 Jaker Ali (wk), 7 Shamim Hossain, 8 Rishad Hossain, 9 Tanzim Hasan Sakib, 10 Hasan Mahmud, 11 Shoriful Islam
Pakistan XI: 1 Fakhar Zaman, 2 Saim Ayub, 3 Mohammad Haris (wk), 4 Salman Agha (capt), 5 Hasan Nawaz, 6 Shadab Khan, 7 Khushdil Shah, 8 Faheem Ashraf, 9 Hassan Ali, 10 Haris Rauf, 11 Abrar Ahmed
