A new chapter in women’s cricket is about to unfold in Bangladesh. For the first time, the Sri Lanka women’s cricket team will tour Bangladesh next month for a bilateral series. During this tour, both teams will face each other in three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 (T20) matches.
On Monday (March 16), the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) released the complete schedule of the tour through an official press release. According to the schedule, the Sri Lanka women’s team will arrive in Dhaka on April 17. On the same day, they will travel to Rajshahi to begin preparations for the series.
Upon reaching Rajshahi, the team will spend April 18 and 19 in practice sessions. The first ODI of the series will take place at the Rajshahi Divisional Cricket Stadium on April 20. The second and third ODIs will also be held at the same venue on April 22 and 25, respectively. All three matches will start at 9:30 AM.
After the ODI series, both teams will move to Sylhet on April 26. The T20 series will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with the first match scheduled for April 28.
The remaining two T20 matches will take place on April 30 and May 2. All T20 matches will be played under floodlights, starting at 6:00 PM. The Sri Lanka women’s team will conclude their tour and depart from Dhaka on May 3.
