Schedule Announced for Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup, Bangladesh's Group Revealed
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the 2025 Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup. The tournament will take place in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2 next year.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup, divided into four groups of four teams each. Bangladesh has been placed in Group 'D' alongside strong teams like Australia and Scotland. Another team will join the group from the Asia region's qualifiers.
Groups for the 2025 Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup:
Group A: India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Malaysia
Group B: England, Pakistan, Ireland, USA
Group C: New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa, Africa Qualifier
Group D: Bangladesh, Australia, Scotland, Asia Qualifier
Bangladesh will play its first match on January 18 against the team that qualifies from the Asia region. Their second match will be against Australia on January 20, and they will play their final group stage match against Scotland on January 22.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage. Teams from Groups 'A' and 'D' will form Group 1, while teams from Groups 'B' and 'C' will form Group 2. The top four teams from these groups will then advance to the semifinals. The final of the World Cup will be held on February 2.
In the last edition of the Women's Under-19 World Cup, Bangladesh made it to the Super Six stage.
